I decided not to delete the group.
I will be a little inactive and slow with accepting submissions. Please be patient with me. I'm still always here to answer questions about care, etc.
If anyone is interested in any leadership positions within the group, feel free to shoot me (paintedpassion) a PM.

**Important group update** Possibly closing
I've given it some thought, and while I really enjoy having a rat group on here, it is not very active, *I'm* not very active, and there are many other groups out there with a lot more activity.
I haven't really been focusing on the educational aspect of the group, mainly just accepting whatever pictures come in.
However, this is still enough activity that I feel like I should give it a chance, so if anyone would like to step up to be in charge, please send me (paintedpassion) a short PM on why you'd like to run the group, plans, a little about your rats and rat care, etc, and if I get multiple I'll make a decision.

Possible contest?
I just wanted to see how much interest I can get with contests and such.
So, if I were to do any kind of contests, who would participate?
I'm debating whether to do our first contest at 50 members or 100. 50 would be nice but I'm not sure if we have enough activity, but a rat art contest may be the way to spark some interest in the group.
So just comment whether or not you'd be interested. I won't be offended if you're not. =)

Also, I know some people feed a Suebee style diet where they feed dog food in a mix to their rats. Certain dog foods have been recalled (including the one I feed to my dog)
Taste of the Wild, Chicken Soup, etc. The whole list is on this link:

If you feed one of these foods to your dog or rats, check the information on the bag like it says. If you're like me and don't have the bag anymore because you keep
Rescues
Since we have a blog up related to breeders, I decided I should make a rescue relative one too. If you are part of or run a rat/small animal rescue, please post information below (website, etc). This group fully supports rescuing rats, however not ALL rescues are ethical rescues.
So here are some rescue red flags to watch out for:
"Rat Rescue Red Flags (referenced from here: http://www.ratforum.com/showthread.php?44410-Rescue-Red-Flags )
This is a list of flags, or things that should evaluated, when choosing to support a rescue. Many of these are opinion, which is why explanation is included, so you can decide for yourself. Some
